Facts about Christ the redeemer
v This statue became one of the New Seven Wonders of the World on July
7th, 2007.

north Rio de Janeiro.
v Christ the Redeemer is the largest art deco statue in the world.

In 2008 a violent electrical storm resulted in a
lightning strike to the statue. The head, eyebrows and fingers were damaged.
